Review: Rode NT-USB microphone

Great review of a mic I just may buy tomorrow when I visit Guitar Center. The RODE NT-USB. I have the RODE NT1a, NT2a, ZZNTG2, NTG3, Broadcaster, NT3 and HS1. This looks like it sounds as good as the NT1a but it's USB! Good for traveling.

Virtual Set Tutorial

Good advice for learning how to shoot for a virtual set. Notice the importance of angles for the talent in the eventual shot...

Playing with vMix: More impressions... WOW!

As with all software, I take a cautious look at something initially. I've been involved with software development sinc e my first programming classes back in '72 (that's 1972 for all you students of Paleolithic time)... And I have been doing the same with vMix video switching, streaming, recording and output software... BUT, I am becoming giddy with all of the features in vMix, the power, the fairly easy to use system and the flexibility it provides... I still use Wirecast and a NewTek Tricaster 460 professional, but vMix makes me smile (good programming does that to me)... :) Below is my second video on vMix with more to come. I'mn excited about this!!!

vMix: Initial impressions and test movie

vMix is a great video switcher for live streaming, recording and outputting of your video content. Powerful, yet not too complex. Somewhere between WireCast and a New Tek Tricaster but with a clean, readable UI and a feature-rich package that is better priced than most.

vMix Training - Chroma Key and Virtual Sets

vMix looks pretty impressive.  It also looks fairly easy to use. We currently use Wirecast and a New Tek Tricaster 460. This looks like it will make another nice addition to our workflow... Christmas gift? :)

vMix GO - Live Production System

We've been looking at vMix recently and it looks like a great live / recording streaming solution. This looks like a new hardware addition to their software-only alternative. And it looks sweet!~
